It's how last season''s Challenge Cup final was shown on the BBC Connected Red Button/online, and presumably how the British Basketball League have negotiated a deal with BBC for the upcoming season. Currently clubs will be doing PPV games through the season as it is.Īpparently, as part of their 'giving something back', the BBC have opened up some of their facilities at Media City to sports organisations and the like in a sort of 'you provide the people and a lot of the production, and we'll do the finishing touches and provide a platform to broadcast on'. They certainly want a FTA channel to cover them, hockey is something that if covered well and a channel works at it, it will be a success. Listening to the league podcast of a week or so ago, it sounds like the EIHL want more coverage and wider coverage.
